Dr. Tanja Paneva

I am a social scientist conducting qualitative research on technology adoption and exploring the intersection between technology and society. My work examines how people and organizations interact with technology, what determines their decisions to adopt and use it, and which social, organizational, and contextual factors influence adoption. Methodologically, I employ thematic analysis, pattern identification, conceptualization, and theoretical synthesis, connecting theory and practice to address complex problems and devise informed solutions.

Through my publications, I contribute to studying the potential of technological innovation to overcome existing barriers, foster greater digital equality and optimize processes across various sectors. My research at CETIP also encompasses technology transfer and policy design following the development, diffusion, and meaningful adoption of new and emerging technologies.
