{Rudolfovo – Znanstveno in tehnološko središče Novo mesto vabi, da se udeležite znanstvenega seminarja z naslovom »Hybrid Quantum-Supercomputing algorithms for Intractable Problems«, ki ga bo predstavil prof. dr. Janez Povh.

Seminar bo v četrtek, 29. maja 2025, ob 10. uri v dvorani K01 Razvojnega centra Novo mesto in preko TEAMS povezave (ID srečanja: 377 878 630 705 - Geslo: Nu2Ni6DP).

Povzetek:

»In the seminar, we will demonstrate new ways to solve complex optimization problems using supercomputers and quantum computers. Focusing on QUBO problems, which appear in network design, machine learning, and physics, researchers from the Center for Quantum Computing at Rudolfovo enhanced the existing Biqbin solver by offloading specific computations to D-Wave quantum annealers. The new solver was tested on several benchmark instances in a high-performance and quantum computing setup. While the classical method remains strong, quantum integration shows promise, especially for the problems that fit well in the topology underlying the D-Wave system.«
