ree

Between November 10 and 12, 2025, Director Prof. Dr. Janez Povh and Prof. Dr. Borut Rončević attended the European Quantum Technology Conference (EQTC) 2025 in Copenhagen.

The EQTC conference, held under the auspices of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU and in cooperation with the European Commission, the University of Copenhagen, and several Danish institutions, was one of the central European platforms for knowledge exchange and cooperation in quantum technologies.

The objectives of the conference were:

  • To deepen connections within the European quantum ecosystem and promote cooperation between researchers, industry, and policymakers.

  • To showcase European academic excellence and advanced technologies in quantum research to a global audience.

  • To bridge the gap between research, industry, and policy by promoting cooperation between sectors.

The event offered a varied program: plenary sessions, keynote speeches by leading experts from research, industry, and politics, technical sessions and panel discussions, and an accompanying exhibition with practical demonstrations and presentations of the work of companies and institutions.

The participation of our representatives at the conference is a step towards connecting Rudolfov with the European quantum ecosystem, providing insight into current technological trends and opening up opportunities for future research and industrial cooperation.

For Rudolfovo, participation in EQTC 2025 was also valuable from the perspective of observing and studying the growing quantum ecosystem, where researchers, companies, and policymakers meet and co-create the future of quantum technologies.
