Rudolfovo and FUDŠ have received a silver award from the Northern Primorska Chamber of Commerce for the innovation Kulinarična pot – Culinary Trail.

Rudolfovo, together with its partners CNC Borštnar d.o.o. and 3D-ING d.o.o., received a gold award for an innovation that enables autonomous quality control in small-batch production using artificial intelligence, robotics and 3D scanning.

Rudolfovo was visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of India, Amit Narang. At the institute, he was received by the Director, Prof. Dr. Janez Povh, and the Coordinator of International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Borut Rončević.

Researchers from Rudolfovo presented six research contributions at the international conference of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering Novo mesto, covering sustainable strategies, artificial intelligence, quantum approaches and numerical simulations.

At the Days of Slovenian Informatics 2026 conference, Rudolfovo presented three projects: Culinary Trail, SRC-EDIH and AdoptQC. The event was also marked by an award received by the institute’s director.

On 31 March 2026, Rudolfovo hosted the Science and Technology Forum 2026 on the use of artificial intelligence in manufacturing companies. Through expert talks, practical case studies and a round table discussion, the forum highlighted key challenges, opportunities and first steps in introducing artificial intelligence into industrial environments.

Rudolfovo and the Development Centre Novo mesto invite you to deeptech meetings on 1 April 2026 in Novo mesto, featuring technologies in machine vision, artificial intelligence, digitisation, and 3D scanning.

Rudolfovo hosted a kick-off event marking the launch of two new ARIS-funded projects in the field of quantum technologies. The CSSInnoRadar and AdoptQC projects will contribute to a better understanding of the adoption and governance of quantum technologies in society and innovation ecosystems.

Join the Rudolfovo 2026 Scientific and Technology Forum “Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing Companies” (Tuesday, 31 March 2026 at 9:00, Makerspace Hall, Novo mesto) to explore AI solutions already working in industry—from data, security and energy to edge deployment and model compression.

Rudolfovo was represented at CSASC 2026 in Plzeň by Dr. Mila Nedić, Dr. Roman Kužel, and Prof. Dr. Janez Povh. Within the “Mathematics for Quantum Computing” workshop, they presented research at the intersection of mathematics, optimization, HPC, and quantum technologies.

As part of a professional excursion, students of the Krško-Sevnica School Centre visited FIŠ and Rudolfovo, where they learned about artificial intelligence, supercomputing, machine learning, and research work in the laboratories.

Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto was represented at the TURING project kick-off meeting in Pisa by Dr Lucijano Berus and Assoc. Prof. Jelena Topić Božič, where partners aligned the WP2 technical activities to develop explainable and robust generative AI for physics-based simulations.

Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto invites you to the seminar “Protein Structure Prediction via AI,” in which Assoc. Prof. Boštjan Gabrovšek will present how artificial intelligence, particularly AlphaFold, and topological data analysis are reshaping the detection and interpretation of protein structures. The seminar will take place on 29 January 2026, on site and via MS Teams.

Rudolfovo showcased three research contributions in mechatronics, robotics, digitalization, and sustainability at the 2025 Academy of Mechanical Engineering, highlighting its role in the development of advanced technologies.

Directors Prof. Dr. Janez Povh and Prof. Dr. Borut Rončević represented Rudolfovo at the European Quantum Technology Conference (EQTC) 2025 in Copenhagen, a key EU platform for advancing quantum innovation. The event fostered collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers across Europe.

Join the Culinary Trail presentation to discover and taste the cuisine of various ethnic groups as part of the Culinary Trail of the Ethnic and Local Cuisine in the Danube Region project. The event will take place on November 18, 2025, at Dilančeva 7, Novo mesto.
