At the Days of Slovenian Informatics 2026 conference, Rudolfovo presented three projects: Culinary Trail, SRC-EDIH and AdoptQC. The event was also marked by an award received by the institute’s director.

On 31 March 2026, Rudolfovo hosted the Science and Technology Forum 2026 on the use of artificial intelligence in manufacturing companies. Through expert talks, practical case studies and a round table discussion, the forum highlighted key challenges, opportunities and first steps in introducing artificial intelligence into industrial environments.

QEC4QEA is a new European project (2025–2029) funded by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, establishing a European Centre of Excellence for Quantum-Enhanced Applications. Over four years, 19 partners from eight countries will build a one-stop shop for quantum solutions, support services and training, accelerating the integration of quantum technologies with high-performance computing (HPC).

Join the Rudolfovo 2026 Scientific and Technology Forum “Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing Companies” (Tuesday, 31 March 2026 at 9:00, Makerspace Hall, Novo mesto) to explore AI solutions already working in industry—from data, security and energy to edge deployment and model compression.

Rudolfovo was represented at CSASC 2026 in Plzeň by Dr. Mila Nedić, Dr. Roman Kužel, and Prof. Dr. Janez Povh. Within the “Mathematics for Quantum Computing” workshop, they presented research at the intersection of mathematics, optimization, HPC, and quantum technologies.

Rudolfovo researchers Vinko Longar and Rok Struna attended CES 2026 in Las Vegas, focusing on humanoid robots, industrial AI solutions, and other technologies with strong potential for research and real-world application.

Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto was represented at the TURING project kick-off meeting in Pisa by Dr Lucijano Berus and Assoc. Prof. Jelena Topić Božič, where partners aligned the WP2 technical activities to develop explainable and robust generative AI for physics-based simulations.

Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto invites you to the seminar “Protein Structure Prediction via AI,” in which Assoc. Prof. Boštjan Gabrovšek will present how artificial intelligence, particularly AlphaFold, and topological data analysis are reshaping the detection and interpretation of protein structures. The seminar will take place on 29 January 2026, on site and via MS Teams.

The First Slovenian Quantum Computing Day is taking place today at Rudolfovo, bringing together national and international experts to discuss the future of quantum technologies in Slovenia and Europe.

From 24 to 26 September 2025, the 18th International Symposium on Operational Research – SOR’25 took place in Bled, uniting researchers, experts, and industry representatives. Rudolfovo’s researchers actively contributed with four scientific papers on artificial intelligence, optimization, and data analytics.

he 18th International Technology Transfer Conference (ITTC) concluded on 10 October 2025 at the University of Primorska in Koper, bringing together research organizations and industry.
