We invite you to the Rudolfovo 2026 Scientific and Technology Forum titled “Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing Companies.” The forum will take place on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, at 9:00, in the Makerspace hall at Rudolfovo’s headquarters (Business Incubator Podbreznik building, Podbreznik 15, 8000 Novo mesto).
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly moving from promising prototypes to solutions that operate reliably in manufacturing and deliver measurable results. At the forum, we will showcase what is already working in practice today and discuss how to successfully introduce AI into real industrial environments.
We will focus on the factors that most often determine success: data readiness and accessibility, security and compliance, energy consumption, and the meaningful integration of new approaches with existing systems. Special emphasis will be placed on solutions that enable deployment even in demanding settings—sovereign and on-premise AI, edge deployment, and efficient model compression.
The programme will open with a keynote lecture by Gorka Unamuno from Multiverse Computing. Drawing on experience implementing AI in industry, he will explain how to plan the journey from a pilot project to scaling, where challenges most commonly arise, and how to assess the impact of AI adoption in a meaningful way.
This will be followed by presentations across three thematic tracks: AI in practice: manufacturing examples and demonstrations, Partnerships between research organisations and industry, and AI and innovation in manufacturing. Through concrete cases, we will present AI-enabled robotics, forecasting and managing energy consumption, automated quality control with machine vision, and development approaches that accelerate knowledge transfer into industrial use.
The event is an opportunity to gain, in a single morning, a clear overview of what AI can already achieve in manufacturing today, what requires the most attention, and what the next realistic steps are. Don’t miss the chance for an in-depth discussion, exchange of experience, and networking with everyone shaping the future of smart, data-driven manufacturing.
Please confirm your attendance by registering via the link below, as seating capacity in the hall is limited: https://forms.office.com/e/sLZqmrBRrd.
