Call for Papers for the 2nd International TRANSFORM Conference

Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto is one of the co-organisers of the 2nd International Interdisciplinary TRANSFORM Conference, entitled The Future of Human Workforce, Robotization and Automatization. The conference will take place online on 29 September 2026, and participation is free of charge.
The conference provides an interdisciplinary forum for discussing how digitalisation, artificial intelligence, demographic change, the green transition and new forms of work are shaping the future of the workforce in Europe and beyond. It aims to bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners and other stakeholders through moderated discussions and interactive sessions.
The organisers invite submissions of abstracts presenting original theoretical, empirical, comparative or interdisciplinary research. Conference topics include artificial intelligence, robotisation and automation, workforce transformation, skills and lifelong learning, new forms of work, quality of the working environment, demographic change, diversity and inclusion, the green transition, AI ethics and labour market governance.
Authors of accepted abstracts will present their work in ten-minute presentations, followed by a discussion with participants. The abstracts will be published in the TRANSFORM International Interdisciplinary Conference 2026 Book of Abstracts. Authors whose contributions are selected by the Scientific Committee will also be invited to prepare an extended version for possible publication in the journal Challenges of the Future. All submissions will undergo a peer-review process.
