The Novo Mesto Development Center and Rudolfovo vas, as part of Science and Technology Week 2026, invite you to a series of deep tech meetings to be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Rudolfovo premises, Podbreznik 15, Novo Mesto.
The event will focus on presenting technologies and opportunities for collaboration with Rudolfovo in the fields of development, digitalization, advanced technologies, and artificial intelligence, with a special emphasis on practical demonstrations of solutions.
The program will feature two practical demonstrations:
9:00–11:00
Quality control in manufacturing using machine vision
The event will showcase the use of various technologies for automated quality control in manufacturing processes, including a laser dimension measuring device, geometric conformity detection using machine vision, and a tunnel for detecting defects on car bodies. A practical example of AI application in manufacturing to assist in troubleshooting production lines will also be demonstrated. The event will take place at the Laboratory for Advanced Technologies (LabTOP), where demonstrations of the equipment and developed systems will be held.
11:00–13:00
Digitization in Cultural Heritage
The demonstration will focus on presenting selected projects in the field of cultural heritage digitization and a tour of the Lab3D and LabM laboratories. The demonstration will showcase equipment and procedures for 3D scanning, digital capture technologies, data preparation, and the potential applications of 3D models in the documentation, preservation, and presentation of cultural heritage objects.
Participants will have the opportunity to tour laboratories and consult with experts in the following fields:
• smart manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0,
• 3D technologies, 3D scanning, CT scanning, and advanced measurements,
• LCA analyses and support for sustainable transitions,
• intellectual property and technology transfer,
• applied quantum computing.
The event is intended for all companies—both established firms and innovative startups—interested in development services, the use of research equipment, technology consulting, or collaboration on the development of specific solutions. If you’d like to discuss specific challenges you’re facing with us, or if you have a product you’d like to scan, feel free to bring it along. We’d be happy to explore possible solutions together and advise you on next steps.
If you would like an individual meeting, please write to us and send a brief description of the challenge or a photo of the product in advance so that we can prepare appropriately for the discussion.
