Rudolfovo at ITTC 2026: Conference Co-organisation and Best Scientific Paper Award

The 19th International Technology Transfer Conference – ITTC 2026 took place on 7 October 2026 in the atrium of the Miran Jarc Library in Novo mesto. Rudolfovo co-organised the event, and our team received the award for the best scientific paper.
The conference was coordinated by the Jožef Stefan Institute, with Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto and the Faculty of Information Studies at the University of Novo mesto among the co-organisers. Partners from both consortia supported under the JR KTO public call helped organise the event, together representing 13 public research organisations.
The central theme was strengthening collaboration between research organisations and industry to improve knowledge transfer and its practical application. A good research idea is only the beginning: putting it into practice requires an understanding of business needs, testing solutions, and collaboration between partners who connect research expertise with development challenges.
The two keynote presentations offered complementary perspectives on this collaboration. Paul Maguire from Technological University Dublin shared insights from the Irish technology transfer system, while Aleš Brenčič from Revoz highlighted the importance of strategic collaboration between research and industry for European competitiveness. The programme also included a roundtable discussion, presentations of innovations with commercial potential, and scientific papers on technology transfer and intellectual property.
A particular highlight for Rudolfovo was the best scientific paper award received by our team. We warmly congratulate our colleagues on this recognition.

The event took place as part of the Month of Science.
