Rudolfovo participation in the kick-off meeting of the TURING project in Pisa

The kick-off meeting of the European TURING project took place in Pisa (Italy), attended by Doc. Dr. Jelena Topić Božič and Dr. Lucijano Berus on behalf of Rudolf's – Science and Technology Center Novo mesto. The meeting was intended for the initial coordination of work between partners and the planning of technical activities in the continuation of the project.

The main focus of the meeting was on coordinating technical activities for the development of explainable and robust generative artificial intelligence for physical simulations. Within the framework of WP2, the partners discussed key challenges and defined the next steps in the white-box analysis of physically based models and existing AI foundation models. The discussions covered several demanding areas of application, including neutronics, thermo-hydraulic simulations, nuclear safety, and meteorology.

The overall goal of the TURING project is to develop and integrate trustworthy, explainable, and physically aware generative artificial intelligence into high-risk scientific simulations where the reliability and comprehensibility of results are of paramount importance.
