You are invited to Rudolfovo Open Day

Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto invites you to its Open Day, which will take place on Friday, 25 September 2026, at Podbreznik 15 in Novo mesto. The event is organised as part of the European Researchers’ Night 2026 and the Month of Science.

Rudolfovo is not only a centre of scientific excellence, but also a place where we bring knowledge closer to people and encourage curiosity. The Open Day is an opportunity for visitors to learn about the work of researchers, discover the importance of science in practice, and experience a research environment up close.

We are preparing professionally guided and interactive presentations of the work of our research centres: the Centre for Advanced Technologies, the Centre for Digitalisation, the Centre for Social and Technological Transitions and Circularity, the Centre for Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property, and the Centre for Applied Quantum Computing.

Visitors will be able to enter research laboratories, take part in interesting scientific demonstrations, meet researchers who are developing new technologies, and see how knowledge is used in practice.

The two morning sessions are intended for organised groups of primary and secondary schools. The programme for primary schools is adapted to pupils in the final triad, while the programme for secondary schools is suitable for students from different educational fields.

The afternoon session is intended for the interested public, families, young people, students, entrepreneurs, and everyone interested in seeing how research work takes place in practice.

The visits will take place in three time slots:

from 8:30 to 10:30, from 11:00 to 13:00, from 16:30 to 18:30 – for the interested public.

For easier organisation, prior registration is required until all places are filled. Please register your visit with Ms Katja Sinur by phone at +386 40 320 516 or by email at katja.sinur@rudolfovo.eu.

When registering, please state your preferred time slot, the number of participants and, if you are registering a school group, also the pupils’ grade or students’ field of education. The number of groups is limited. If all time slots are full, we may offer an alternative visit by arrangement.

You are warmly invited to visit us, ask questions and get to know us.
